Oliver was born in New Orleans, but grew up outside of Philadelphia. At the University of Pennsylvania he studied molecular biology, engineering, Italian Literature, architecture, and had work exhibited at the Institute for Contemporary Art before deciding a few years after graduating that what he wanted to do was edit films.

His television work as an editor has won three Emmy Awards, six Emmy nominations, and an Alfred I. duPont Award. He has cut some of the first original programming for Hulu and Yahoo and his work for the internet has won a Streamy Award as well as multiple Webby and Emmy nominations. He has cut numerous television series and documentaries for clients including HBO, PBS, Bravo and many other networks and cut spots for clients including Chiat/Day and Cliff Freeman.

He recently directed the book trailers for You Are Next and Next Time You See Me, and is the founder of Blue Table Films, LLC. His imitations of actors and politicians have won acclaim among family members and friends.

Ashley grew up in American Samoa, over 7000 miles from New York City.
While working in the newsroom of Boise's CBS affiliate, Ashley earned a degree in Motion Picture Production from Montana State University. She has since production managed TV series, documentaries and commercials for clients including HBO, PBS, Discovery Channel, Milk Bone, and Electronic Arts. Formerly based in Oakland, California, she recently moved to New York where she says, "The weather may not allow me to run outside all year round, but there is so much great theater and dance here that I am happy to spend my winters inside."
